Eligibility
　　○Students and faculty and staff of The Kitasato Institute.

　　*** For alumni, members of The Memorial Association of Shibasaburo Kitasato,
　　     and others who wish to use the library, please click here.***

　　*** Former faculty members are external users.***


Action needed
　　○You need to bring The Kitasato Institute's student card or an IC identification at the counter for access.
　　　 If your identification is not an IC card, we will issue a different type of card.


Borrowing Policies
　　○Only students, faculty, and staff who belong to Kitasato Institute are allowed 
　　　 to borrow materials and bring them outside the library.

　　○To borrrow materials, students need their student cards, and faculty and staff need
　　　 their IC idetifications or library cards.

　　○Borrow
　　　You can borrow materials at the counter.
　　　Bring the materials you would like to borrow and show your student card, idefication or library card.
　　　Library staff give you stamps of your return date.

　　*** If you wish to borrow a book at the Kitamoto Campus, please apply using the
　　　"Borrow Requests from Kitamoto".***


　　○Return
　　　Please return the borrowed materials to the counter, the bookpost at the entrance of the library
　　　 or the one on the first floor of Platinum Tower.
　　　 After the library closes, please return them to the bookpost.


　　○Overdue
　　　When you can not return materials within loan periods, You are not be able to borrow
　　　new materials according to the number of materials and overdue days.
　　　During the period, you can neither renew materials nor borrow more.


　　○Renew
　　　You can extend the loan period up to once for books and twice for magazines.
　　　Please bring the materials you want to extend to the counter or apply from MyOPAC.
　　　however, you can not renew the materials that have already been booked or that are overdue.


　　○Reserve
　　　You can reserve materials through MyOPAC or at the counter
           if they have been borrowed to someone else.
           The materials are kept at the counter for four days since the return date.


How to search for materials
　　○You can search for materials by titles and authors through OPAC.

　　○When you would like to purchase materials,fill in the blanks of purchase request form.
　　  We will contact you later to tell you the result.


Interlibrary loan
　　○If the library does not have the material you are looking for,
　　  you can order it from another library.

　　○You can apply for this service through Interlibrary Loan in MyOPAC.(*)

　　　You can consult us for where to ＆ how to find materials and other things.

Active Learning Space
 　　○This room is for group study, discussion, and presentation practice,
　　　and is equipped with a whiteboard and wireless LAN.

 　　○Please apply from Room Reservation in MyOPAC.
